In todays lesson, we worked on the soundtrack to go alongside the thriller sequence. We had an original sound sequence, but today we worked on adapting it and layering it with other sounds. We listened to lots of different clips of sounds and remembered the ones which best went with our original tune. The original tune is the rock guitar riff 01.1. This os just a simple guitar played piece which stes the spooky mood. Then we use an electronic sound effect to add texture to the song and also add to the spooky effect. Through the song, we add orchestra strings 01.1. This also goes well with the original tune. All the sounds we have layered are in the same key and I think work well together to create the tone we want for the opening. The original tune is played for most of the song and is very repetative, so that the music doesn attract the audience away from whats happening, but works well beside it. Once we selected the sounds we wanted, we layered them on top of eachother using garage band.
